This is coming from an individual who was initially not convinced about joining a consulting firm. Just to give a brief
background on how I joined Betasoft Systems, back in December of 2007, I was in Los Angeles. I was out of school with a
MS in Computer Science and working for a startup. I really felt I needed to move to the Bay Area to seek better
opportunities and to experience the work culture. I wasn't happy with what I was doing at my job back then. After
much deliberation, I decided to pick up the phone and call Betasoft. I wasn't sure what to expect, but talking to a
recruiter at that time (Bhavana) and eventually with Ritu, convinced me that the staff at Betasoft were serious about
what they were doing and were genuinely interested in the good of its employees.
After about a month of being with Betasoft and getting trained in certain core areas in QA, the marketing team did a
great job of being proactive with me. A point to note here is that, it's up to the individual to make a serious
effort to work on the tools and technologies taught during training. I remember bugging Ritu during training to make
sure I knew my subject matter and worked hard to make sure I was ready for interviews. As this was my first time
consulting, Ritu gave handy tips on how to deal with such interviews and I managed to get not one but two offers. I got
the impression that Betasoft has the good of the employee at heart. They try to work through their limitations and the
limitations of the individual to make sure we work as a team. It's a win-win for the both of us.
I want to go out and say, yes, there are sites out there that give mixed reviews about Betasoft. I am not going to
justify them as right or wrong. But I can't stress this enough; that Betasoft does a good job in showing you the
way in terms of getting you ready for the work force and in giving opportunities to interview and do well. Beyond that,
it's all up to the individual to keep working on your core skills and make use of resources at Betasoft to make
sure you have all you need to do well. If you are dedicated and you want to succeed, Betasoft will do its part in making
sure that happens. Once employed with an end client, they make sure that operation is smooth, by providing basic
benefits and paying the employee on time. The senior team of Vishal, Ritu and Dinesh have always been there to answer my
questions/concerns. Betasoft is honest about what it can and cannot do and I have had no problems working with them the
past couple of years. I highly encourage the genuinely interested and hard working individual to give them a try. They
will not disappoint.
